Ellen has recently retired after a long career in Education and Corrective Services and looks forward to spending more time with her growing family and working on creative projects (painting, crochet). Ellen has extensive local knowledge of the Cassowary Coast community and believes that community support is vital in rural towns. She has a strong commitment to the local community and understanding of the challenges for volunteers. Ellen has been a member on committees supporting - junior sporting clubs, lobbying for a dialysis unit in the Innisfail Hospital, Toastmasters Club, CSCI committee member.
