Gill Snape

Gillian (Gill) Snape originally migrated to Queensland in 1973 and taught in early childhood education in many situations over 45 years. She has worked in State Schools, pre-schools, childcare, kindergartens and Tafe. Gill lived and worked at Mareeba, Mossman, Karumba, Ravenshoe, and Mt Malloy prior to having her sons. Then she taught Childcare at Tafe whilst working as a registered family day carer. Since the 1990’s Gill has worked at kindergartens throughout the Innisfail, Babinda, Mourilyan and Tully areas. Throughout her career, Gill was fortunate to mentor many students towards their chosen early childhood professions. At 65 years old, Gill retired and has since volunteered at CSCI, Meals on Wheels, Lifeline and Salvation Army. Gill enjoys walking her dog, reading, gardening and fixing things to recycle or reuse. Gill is an avid Op and dump shopper and enjoys attending local magic gigs and festivals.
